Why journalism is dying

So Rush Limbaugh is denied his dream of being part-owner in a NFL team because of things he never said.

It’s not surprising that the drive-by media pounced on damaging quotes without taking the time to check them; that’s their modus operandi when dealing with conservatives. More interesting is that someone who teaches journalism was in the lead. Karen Hunter is not only an alleged professor, but (according to her web site) a Pulitzer prize winning journalist and publisher. Isn’t it these types that normally bleat how the mainstream media is much more responsible than blogs because of all the filtering for fact that they do prior to broadcasting something?

The weak retractions have quietly begun to surface…after the damage is done, of course.
