Obama: Oops I meant to say the US troops are the murdering warlords
|
From the the Nashua Telegragph’s NH Primary (from Memeorandum):
I’m sorry, give me a moment, my eyeballs are on the floor here somewhere. So, Obama, properly chastened by his blithering suggestion the US should march into Pakistan and destabilize a nuclear power and completely turn the political tables against a needed ally, this Obama thinks the way to appear tough on matters of national security is to call our troops murderers and baby killers? The Taliban are known to hide among civilians. (This would be the same Taliban who does blow up children.) Our military takes great care in trying to avoid civilian casualties. And Obama perverts these efforts for political gain. In the Old Testament, God referred to the Israelites’ continued pursuit of idols as “adultry.” I think that’s because adultery is taking the love that belongs to one and giving it to another. Pornography does much the same thing. It twists something good. This pandering to an anti-war Left by besmirching the valiant efforts made on our behalf is hardly better than porn. And it’s our policy to bomb civilians? Captain Ed:
Taliban to the front of them. Al Qaeda to the right of them. Iran to the left of them. Into the valley of death rode US troops… only to get stabbed in the back by our own politicians. Our troops are doing the hard work of taking on a dangerous enemy in remote places like the Korengal Valley. Our troops are helping the Afghan Army get on its feet by assisting in operations like Operation Maiwand in Ghazni Province. And Obama thinks our troops are giggling and painting Grim Reaper Scythes on the barracks walls for each village bombed? We cannot fight this war with one major political party tied behind our backs. Thanks, Glenn. Our poor server is shuddering and shaking.) |

[...] Half a year ago I bemoaned the dreadfully early start to the 2008 presidential election. Perhaps I was in error. For if this election period hadn’t yet started in earnest, Barack Obama might not have had the opportunity to demonstrate his complete ineptitude prior to the actual primaries. That he has done so is a blessing to the Democratic Party, which now has the oportunity to find a more qualified challenger to Hillary Clinton’s coronation. [...]
