Gary Gygax fails saving throw

From CNN:

MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin (AP) – Gary Gygax, who co-created the fantasy game Dungeons & Dragons and helped start the role-playing phenomenon, died Tuesday morning at his home in Lake Geneva. He was 69.

I was never drawn too far into playing Dungeons and Dragons as a kid, but if you grew up in the 1980s, you probably played D&D or one of its offshoots at least once. Maybe it’s just that I have fond memories of being a young kid idolizing his older brother and cousins and watching them play. Sure, my cousins got a little too involved in D&D, but thinking about playing those Gary Gygax inspired games still brings back good memories.

I’m pretty much a gamer, though I hardly played any D&D. He definitely helped kick off a phenomenon.
